illustrating animals, illustrating wildlife

Having spent a lot of time outdoors for work and pleasure, my illustrations are drawn from observations, memory, and/or other references.   I illustrate animals in their natural environments in acrylic, watercolor and pen/ink.

Anne,
Yay! This is great - as a long time fan of all your art work, including my dear-to-my heart honu t-shirt that is still my favorite most comfy tee (excellent for sleeping and working out, oh never mind, I don't work out since having a baby), and the original defpo illustrations and zines from ten or more years ago, I have to say that your work is still fresh and delicious! I am happy to see it and look forward to updates. Blog on sister. Oh and when the heck will you be out in the Bay area again?

Hi Anne,
I love your blog. Your art is so beautiful - and it reminds of you! I still like to break out the Doochisuck and Turtlegirl/Defpo comics. Let me know when you start making prints of your work on paper. I think you are such a talented artist and I am glad that others will get to enjoy your work here. - Jen

Hey Anne, your paintings of the green heron and the rays are awesome! The rays really remind me of when I used to live in the Caribbean, sniff, sniff... Keep up the great work!
